The only personal computer you have for life. The FICS, with its exclusive Lifetime Warranty and Guaranteed Upgrade, is the fastest growing IBM software compatible computer system of its time.

The FICS Philosophy

In the mind’s eye computing can be seen as a philosophy applied to individual or varied, uses or people. In 500 BC the Chinese used a sort of "computer" called the Abacus. Today the computer is a bit more complex. However, a computer is just a "tool box." Without programs (tools), beads in the case of the Abacus, the computer remains dormant.

To apply this philosophy that your computer is an extension of you, you need a certain flexibility built into the computer you purchase. Since the 1980s, and shortly after IBM’s release of the XT Personal Computer, we began offering a cost-effective hardware line to support your most difficult applications.

Quickly changing markets, pricing instabilities, and obsolescence are at the forefront of the computing nightmare. We eliminate facing this computing nightmare by riding on the clear wake of mainstream computing. Mainstream computing uses hardware that has been on the market and generally accepted as stable and supportive across a wide range of interfaces. Interfaces are what computer devices and programs need to communicate with each other to perform their pre-programmed tasks. Mainstream hardware, as opposed to cutting edge technology, has the initial "bugs" worked out of them.

Since the Pentium was first introduced in August 1995 there have been changes made in the basic design. Software follows similar trends. When Windows 2.0 first appeared it needed changing. Then came Windows 3.0 and was then changed to Windows 3.1. to solve minor problems, and now Windows 95 is on its fourth release. These revision trends exist in both the software and hardware sectors of the computer industry. This is the road all first-release hardware and software travel. All first release hardware and software travel the turbulent forefront of the computer industry.

To keep in balance with the FICS Philosophy, in 1986 we concentrated on a "mainstream" computer to offer unlimited upgrades and a lifetime warranty. The FICS , with its exclusive Lifetime Warranty and Guaranteed Upgrades, is the fastest growing IBM software compatible computer system of today. Because of the FICS philosophy, we have upgraded all FICS sold since 1986 without the need for you to purchase another system because we were not able to upgrade your computer. We do not have models, we just have your computer that will GROW and GROW and GROW with you and go where ever you wish to go today and tomorrow.
